What Can You Do with $3.00 a Month?

If you are on our Street Maintenance crew, the answer is a lot!  Our field crews continually strive to make Mesa a better place for its residents and visitors.  Through a combination of City crews and outside vendor service contracts, we are able to stretch your tax dollars to provide a high level of street maintenance services.  In fact, for just $3.00 per resident, our staff is able to do the following each month:

• Repair 816 streetlights lights
• Repair seven damaged or knocked down streetlight poles
• Maintain 2,054 street signs
• Replace 616 street signs
• Paint 140 miles of striping on city streets
• Collect 560 tons of debris via our street sweepers
• Sweep 500 miles of city streets
• Clean 1,616 bus shelters and benches
• Replace 4,250 square feet of concrete
• Maintain sixteen million square feet of right-of-way landscaping
• Respond to 241 service calls
• Sample survey 277 lane miles of street surface
• Sealcoat 323,000 square yards of city streets
