Transportation -
Administration
The Administration staff are responsible for
developing strategies in order to provide direction
to the Department to attain our values, vision,
mission, and goals and to advise city management
officials, Council and Mayor regarding
transportation matters.
The Administrative Support staff is responsible for
Customer Care as well as the day-to-day
administrative and personnel support to the Department.
Regular office hours are 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Financial Team staff is responsible for
developing the Department's annual budget request
and overseeing the expenditure of Department funds
throughout the fiscal year. Other
responsibilities include overseeing the billings
and receipts of reimbursements and revenues and
maintaining the status of contracts used by the
Department for supplies, equipment and services.
The team also develops the Department's long-term
financial plan.
The
Asset Management group is tasked with implementing and maintaining a
Department-wide Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to effectively
manage the City's transportation-related assets and facilities. This group
also houses the Department's primary Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
support, using it as an invaluable tool for tracking asset locations and
maintenance activities. Analysis, reporting and mapping are all critical
components used to forecast, schedule and coordinate work activities within the
Department.
