Aviation Unit seeks hangar maintenance help

If you enjoy physical activity and working in an aviation environment, this may be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! As an Aviation Unit Volunteer you will be responsible for cleaning the hangar floor (a combination of machine use, with a limited amount of hand mopping around the aircraft), filling oil bottles, washing hand towels, and running mechanic errands in a department vehicle. Although the tasks may seem simple, your assistance with these tasks will help to keep our aviation equipment running smoothly and available for service calls, which is a crucial crime-fighting element for our department!

Desired Skills: Ability to become trained in use of floor cleaning machine; ability to follow verbal instructions.

Special Requirements: Must have current driver's license and be able to operate a department vehicle; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; must be able to work in temperature extremes because the hangar is not cooled or heated.

Hours Needed:  Very flexible during business hours -- you choose whatever hours you like between Monday and Friday daytime.
