Mesa Police Department Red Mountain Station
The
Red Mountain Substation is located at 4333 E. University in the
northeast portion of the City of Mesa. The district services a population of
over 133,000 people and continues to be one of the fastest growing areas of the
city, with many new residential subdivisions and commercial centers under
construction. Officers within the division patrol over 33 square miles from
Horne at the west to as far east as Higley Road, responding to an average
of 6,628 monthly calls for service.
Some of the events of the Red Mountain Patrol Division
include:
- Participation in Safety Fair presentations, in
addition to numerous other community-related events.
- The Red Mountain District was the first to kick off a new
neighborhood meeting concept to discuss specific crime issues in those
areas.
The meetings include neighborhood leaders and Block Watch captains. The
response of those who attended the meetings is overwhelmingly positive. The
concept is being carried out in the other districts.
