Talon is a Belgian Malinois who was born on June 25, 2002 in Holland. He has a PH1 certificate in KNPV (Royal Dutch Police Dog Association) and has passed the Mesa PD Patrol Dog School.

Talon is trained in building searches, area searches, high risk stops and SWAT deployments. Talon has located numerous felony suspects, including an ATM burglary suspect who was trying to hide in a construction site.

Talon was selected and purchased by a Dutch K9 handler and shipped directly to Arizona. The money used to purchase Talon came from a grant from Fry's Marketplace and Milkbone.

Talon eats 2-1/2 cups of Solid Gold: Barking at the Moon dog food a day and enjoys roughhousing with his handler's Weimeraner off-duty. Talon also likes to swim, but has to put up with PSD Gracie trying to take his toys in the pool.
