People Claiming to be from SRP or APS

A representative of Salt River Project (SRP) has received several calls from seniors in the Sun City area who said that someone pretending to be from SRP was going door-to-door and telling people he had a special deal for SRP customers. The seniors are paying for deals that do not exist. APS has also received some calls on this scam as well. Please be careful when someone solicits door-to-door, and do your research before giving out personal information or money to strangers.

SRP has issued an alert to customers that thieves are impersonating SRP employees to steal credit card and debit card numbers. The imposters tell victims that immediate payment is required for electric bills. This is a scam. Do not give credit card or debit card information over the telephone unless you are absolutely sure you know whom you are talking to.
