In July 2007, we received a benchmarking increase of 13%.  Starting salary for Dispatcher Lateral is $39,644.80.  Starting Salary for 911 Operator is $35,838.40.
 

Upon completing Dispatcher Lateral training the salary increases to $41,662.40. 
 

Top Pay for Public Safety Dispatcher is achieved in only 7 years at $56,284.80!  Top pay for Public Safety 911 Operator is also achieved in 7 years at $48,401.60.  This does not include Holiday Pay, Overtime, or Shift Differential.

Dispatch Academy start dates vary throughout the year.
 

We offer paid on the job training.
 

There is a 5% shift differential for certain hours worked.
 

We participate in the Arizona State Retirement System. 
 

The city also has a Deferred Compensation Program that employees can elect to participate in.
