Seventh and Eighth Grade After-School Sports

Welcome to the City of Mesa's 7th and 8th Grade After-School Sports Program, run in cooperation with Mesa Public Schools.  There are three 8-week sport seasons offered during the school year.  The Fall season starts in September and provides basketball for both boys and girls.  The Winter season starts in November and offers flag football for boys and volleyball for girls.  The Spring season starts in February and offers soccer for both boys and girls.  This program will be conducted at each Junior High School and will be conducted immediately after school.  This year, the sports program will be more competitive, teach fundamentals, guarantee playing time, and be a no-cut program.  The season will end with a tournament for participating teams.  All games and practices are typically held outdoors.  The Intramural Director at each school is responsible for hiring coaches and acting as the on-site administrator of the program, in cooperation with Parks and Recreation staff.  Below is the list of Intramural Directors for each school.
