Adult Basketball

The City of Mesa Parks and Recreation Division offers basketball leagues three times per year:  Winter (begins in November), Spring (begins in March), and Summer (begins in May).  Each season offers Men's and Women's leagues.  A variety of skill classifications are offered.  Men's division offers 'A' (highest level of competition), 'B' (moderate competition), and 'C' (recreational level of competition).  Women's division could offer an 'A' and 'B' classification (depending on the amount of teams that register).

General Basketball League Information

  • All players must be at least 16 years old as of the first night of the league to participate.
  • All teams are guaranteed 6 games per season for one game a week leagues and 10 games per season for two games per week leagues.
  • Participants can only play on 1 team per season.
  • Each team may carry up to 20 players on their active roster. 
  • All games are two 20-minute halves running time, except the last two minutes of the second half.
  • Teams must wear the same color shirts with numbers on the front and the back.  All numbers must be legible and permanently affixed.  No taped or written numbers allowed.  Shirts may be numbered 0-99 and no two players on the same team can wear the same number.
  • Games are played at various City of Mesa facilities and Mesa Public School gyms.
  • Current League Fee is $455 per team for the 6-game season and $550 per team for the 10-game season.  Full teams registered only.
