Russ McKinney, Senior Fire Maintenance Service
Technician, is certified in Scott Air-Pak 4.5, NxG2 Air-Pak,
Pak-Alert overhaul and maintenance as well as Holmatro
rescue tool and Elkhart nozzle maintenance. He is a PSI
certified cylinder inspector. Jay Woodward,
Fire Maintenance Service Technician,
is certified in Scott Air-Pak 4.5 and Pak-Alert overhaul
and maintenance, as well as Holmatro rescue tool and
Elkhart nozzle maintenance. Jay is also a PSI certified
cylinder inspector.
This division currently maintains:
- 270 Scott self-contained breathing apparatus.
These are tested and maintained every six months per
manufacturer's specifications.
- 1,000 high-pressure cylinders. (SCBA and oxygen
storage cylinders are hydro tested off site, and a
visual inspection is performed on site before they
are returned to service.)
- 4 high-pressure breathing air compressors and
filtering systems. (Breathing air is tested
quarterly per NFPA Standards.)
- 16 Holmatro rescue tool systems. (Maintenance
is performed every six months. They are serviced
annually.)
- 125 other 2- and 4-stroke gasoline powered tools
(chainsaws, rescue saws, ventilation fans, and
generators).
- 28 thermal imaging cameras (Scott, MSA, and
Bullard).
- Ajax tools, Elkhart nozzles and appliances, and
other small tools and equipment.
