Scheduling Station Tours and other Public
Education Requests
Scheduling station tours and public education
requests require a two-week advance notice. The
fire crews are still in-service during these events
and at the last minute (without notice) may not be
available due to emergency call volumes. Please
keep this in mind when scheduling with the fire
department. Call 480-644-2200 for more information
or send an
email.

Groups of six or more can
schedule tours of Mesa's Fire Stations
Station tours are set up through the
Fire and Life Safety Education Division of the fire
department. Many scout groups, church groups, day
care centers, and other community organizations have
taken advantage of this opportunity to see a fire
station, meet the crews, and learn about the fire
apparatus.
The recommended number of people in
a group tour should be between 6 and 20 and all ages
are welcome. A two-week advance notice is required
for stations tours and can be scheduled by calling
480-644-2200.
Public Education Requests for
Crews to Give Safety Talks
A fire crew may be available to host a
safety talk to community groups throughout Mesa. The
Mesa Fire Department will send crews to schools, scout
meetings, Block Watch and organized neighborhood
meetings, church groups, day care centers, retirement
centers, and other organized community meetings.
Topics included are fire safety, life safety, and
water safety. Brochures and handouts are
provided by the fire department. Safety talks require
a two-week advance notice and please keep in mind that
the crews are still in service, meaning they are
available to take 911 calls and may either not show up
or may have to leave the meeting during the safety
talk in the event of an emergency. To schedule a
safety talk, call 480-644-2200.
Public
Education Requests for Crews to attend Community
Events
Having a block party and want a fire crew to
attend? A fire department crew (based on availability
and emergency call volume) would be happy to stop by your
event and meet the neighbors. The fire department will
also participate in community parades, health and safety
fairs, and other non-profit community events. At
this time the Fire Department is unable to send crews to
private birthday parties, business grand-openings, and
business marketing events. A two-week advance
notice is required to have a fire crew attend a community
event. Call 480-644-2200 to schedule your event.
