Mesa Fire Department Honor Guard

The Mesa Fire Department Honor Guard was officially formed in 1996. Since then, this dedicated volunteer group has continued to uphold and promote the tradition and decorum of the fire service. A link to video from our most recent event, IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial in Colorado Springs, September 2006 is below.

The Mesa Fire Department Honor Guard was originally formed to pay tribute and honor to Mesa Fire Captain Chuck Inman who lost his life after a noble and courageous battle with cancer.  Captain Inman passed away on December 16, 1996.

Since the inception of the Mesa Fire Department Honor Guard, our size and recognition has grown.  We have been honored to have participated in numerous local and national events including:

The Mesa Fire Department Honor Guard is a voluntary association of Professional Firefighters.  We are honored to assist and/or participate in memorial services for deceased Firefighters throughout the region.  Due to the voluntary status of our members, we are significantly limited in our ability to participate in other events (such as parades or conference openings).

For more information on the Mesa Fire Department Honor Guard, please contact Fire Captain Rick Apple.
