Environmental Programs

Clean Air Day in MesaEnvironmental Programs was established in 1997. The primary goal of the section is to manage environmental issues that affect the City of Mesa.

Environmental Programs works with its customers to develop and implement innovative and effective programs to address environmental issues and concerns. Environmental Programs provides assistance on environmental issues to Mesa citizens and other City Divisions, and collaborates regionally on broad environmental problems such as air quality and superfund sites.

There are three major programs that are managed by Environmental Programs.  These are Air Quality, Hazardous Materials and Stormwater Quality.

Please call the Environmental Programs 24-hour Complaint Hotline at (480) 644-3599 for environmental issues and concerns such as:

  • Illegal dumping of hazardous materials
  • Excessive dust or trackout from construction sites
  • Improper oil disposal
  • For general environmental information

Please Note:  All non-emergency situations will be addressed during normal business hours.
