Complete List of Mesa Lane Restrictions and Closures

The week of July 7, 2008 the following roads will be under construction in the City of Mesa.  Printable Report (.pdf), Special Closures, ADOT Restrictions, Pinal County Projects, and Maricopa County Projects

Alma School Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions 7/7/08 to 7/8/08 on Alma School from Mclellan Road to Bass Pro Drive for asphalt patchwork. 

1st Avenue:

  • The sidewalk on the north side of 1st Ave between Mesa Drive and Hibbert will be closed from June 16, 2008 to approximately February 23, 2009 as the contractor is building the new court building.  More Information

Baseline Road:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on Baseline Road between Power Road and Superstition Springs Boulevard due to the Power Road Project.  More Information

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions 5/12/08 to 7/11/08 on Baseline Road from 78th Street to 82nd Street.  Southwest Gas will be replacing utilities.

Baywood Avenue:

  • Beginning 6/2/08 and lasting until approximately 7/15/08, Baywood Avenue will be restricted between Power Road and 63rd Street.  Nesbitt Contracting will begin the City of Mesa Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for street improvements.  More Information

Brown Road:

  • Expect eastbound lane restrictions on Brown Road at Val Vista Drive.  Qwest and SRP will be working on utilities and installing fiber optics.

Crismon Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Crismon Road from Brown Road to McKellips as the contractor for Maricopa County completes street improvements.

  • Expect lane restrictions on Crismon Road from Hampton Avenue to Cheshire.  Eastbound lanes on Hampton Avenue and northbound lanes on Chesire will be closed to allow the developer to install a sewer line to the new Mountain Vista Marketplace.

Country Club Drive:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Country Club Drive at Emerald Avenue to allow the developer to install a sewer line and complete road widening improvements for the business at 922 S Country Club Drive.

Gilbert Road:

  • Gilbert Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction from north of Thomas Road to State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) due to flooding.  Traffic has been shifted to the southbound lanes over the bridge.  For more information about the restrictions on Gilbert Road please visit www.mcdot.maricopa.gov

Horne:

  • Southbound lanes on Horne will be closed from Southern Avenue to Broadway Road.  This closure will allow the contractor to re-line the wastewater pipes for the City of Mesa Capital Improvement Project (CIP).  More Information 

Lindsay Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Lindsay Road from Main Street to University. Nesbitt Contracting will be working on a City of Mesa Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for street improvements.  More Information

McDowell Road:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on McDowell Road from Power Road to Ridgecrest for improvements to the 202 Freeway.  More information

McKellips Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions 3/10/08 to approximately 12/1/08 on McKellips Road from Hawes Road to Bridlewood.  Knochel Brothers will be doing road improvements.
  • McKellips Road will be restricted down to one lane in each direction from Gilbert Road to Lindsay Road.  The contractor will be paving on 7/8/08 and 7/9/08.  More Information

Morris Street:

Mountain Road:

  • Expect north and southbound lane restrictions on Mountain Road at Ray Road from 3/17/08 to approximately 8/1/08.  The contractor will be installing a box culvert followed by a water line connection.

Pecos Road:

  • Pecos Road between Power Road and Sossaman Road is scheduled to be closed for a period of four months.  The Town of Gilbert closed the road to rebuild the intersection of Power Road and Pecos Road.   Power Road will remain open during construction.  Westbound Pecos Road traffic will be detoured at Sossaman Road to either Ray Road or Germann.

Power Road:

  • Expect north and southbound lane restrictions on Power Road from Baseline Road to approximately 500' south of Guadalupe Road.  There will also be east and westbound lane restrictions at the intersection of Power Road and Guadalupe Road.  More MCDOT Project Information

Recker Road:

  • Expect northbound lane restrictions beginning 6/2/08 on Recker Road between Brown and McKellips Road.  Nesbitt Contracting will be working on a City of Mesa Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for street improvements.  More Information

Signal Butte Road:

  • Expect southbound lane restrictions on Signal Butte Road from Southern Avenue and the US 60 Freeway for road improvements.
  • Expect north and southbound lane restrictions on Signal Butte Road from Guadalupe Road to Baseline Road for street improvements.

Southern Avenue:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on Southern Avenue between Signal Butte Road and Cheshire to allow the developer to install a water and sewer line.

University Drive:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on University Drive from Lindsay Road to Greenfield Road.  Qwest will be installing fiber optics in this area.

Val Vista Drive:

  • Expect northbound lane restrictions on Val Vista Drive at Leland Street (between McKellips Road and McDowell Road).  There will also be east and westbound restrictions on Leland Street.  Qwest will be installing fiber optics in the area.
  • Expect lane restrictions on Val Vista Drive from Main Street to University. Nesbitt Contracting will be working on a City of Mesa Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for street improvements.  More Information
