Falcon Field Employment Center

A thriving airport, convenient freeway access, existing aerospace and technology companies, surrounded by executive and affordable housing communities, combined with land development and building availability create the perfect location for companies to locate and prosper- the Falcon Field Employment Center.

Mesa’s Falcon Field Airport serves as the economic catalyst for the Falcon Field Employment Center. Falcon Field Airport ranks fourth busiest general aviation airport in the U.S.  Annual aircraft operations in 2007 totaled 314,129, 65,048 more than the previous 2006 year bumping the airport from 12th to 4th busiest.  Operating two runways, Falcon Field is home to over 900 aircraft in an aviation technology and educational institute rich environment.

An impressive group of major employers representing the aerospace/aviation, high-tech, manufacturing and software industry clusters are located in this employment center.  Boeing’s Apache Helicopter facility is the largest company in the area employing more than 4,700. Located within the Falcon Field Employment Center are more than ten industrial/office parks with both land and building availability for development and occupancy.  The Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202) provides access to a growing population of more than 1.2 million residents within a 30-minute drive.
