The City of Mesa’s vision for the Williams
Gateway is to become Arizona’s premier center for
business, aviation, technology, employment and
education. Passenger service has been a goal since
the airport was converted from a U.S. Air Force Base
in 1993.
Today nearly 1 million people live within a
30-minute drive of the airport, and that number is
expected to more then double in the next 20-years.
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is ready to serve the
traveling community with a state-of-the-art 22,000
square foot passenger terminal. With three
charter operators flying virtually all over the
United States, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway is a true reliever

Passengers who normally arrive to the airport two or
more hours early can enjoy the ease of little to no
